What About Stewardship – Supporting the Church
We do not pressure people to give. We don’t charge dues. Giving is between the individual and God. We encourage everyone to make a pledge so we can better form our budget with projected giving. By pledging you also receive offering envelopes and a statement from the church to assist you in the preparation of income tax deductions. When supporting the church, consider the blessing of tithing, of giving 10% to God. Giving should be done prayerfully and proportionately. Your giving is strictly confidential; only the Church Treasurer knows who gives what.
Stewardship is more than giving money. We hope you’ll consider how you can best use your talents & abilities for God’s service & glory. We need teachers, singers, artists, musicians, photographers, handymen/women, actors, computer geeks, arts & crafts people, and people who like to visit shut-ins.
Our Food Pantry:
As part of a united church outreach, we operate a food pantry on Fridays, providing food for needy individuals and families.
The purpose of the Music Ministry is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ through song. Music is a great opportunity for evangelism – all are welcome to participate, which includes both vocal and instrumental:
- Youth Choir – Children rehearse Sunday morning before the start of Sunday school and sing during worship service, a great way for your child to learn to sing and praise God.
- Praise Choir – Teens and adults rehearse one evening a week and sing up-beat contemporary music once a month during worship service.
- Senior Choir – Adults rehearse one evening a week. Singing traditional music and hymns, they help lead the music during worship and also special services.
- Instrumental – Anyone who plays an instrument is encouraged to share their gift during worship service whether it be solo or accompanying the choirs.
Our choirs are active Sept. – June. We’re blessed with wonderful children’s and adult choirs and we’re always looking for musicians and singers; we can use your God-given talent.

“You can't get there from here” - Joshua 1, Pastor Bob Leroe, Cliftondale Congregational Church, Saugus, Massachusetts (10 Jan 2016)
Mainers like to say when giving directions, “You can't get there from here”...or more accurately, “You can't get they-ahh from hee-yahh.” The children of Israel must have thought that, journeying through the wilderness to the promised land. It had been a long, grueling journey. Someone ... Read More
